For millions of people around the world, life without clean water, decent toilets or good hygiene is a reality. WaterAid Australia works with local partners to help communities access these essential amenities.
We were a sponsor of the first WaterAid Gala Ball in Melbourne in 2004. This marked the beginning of a long relationship, and the business has been a proud supporter of WaterAid ever since.
In 2013, Geoff Weaver visited Timor-Leste to learn about the vibrant culture as well as the hardships the communities face. Our Chief Operating Officer, David Lilley, followed suit in 2015 and learnt firsthand the difference even the most basic amenities can make to the health and happiness of the people within these communities.
Supporting WaterAid Australia has been our chance to give back to the global community. Through sponsorship and fundraising initiatives, we have been able to support the incredible work WaterAid does to bring safe drinking water and sanitation to communities in need.
Every child should have the opportunity to change their future, but for 1.2 million young Australians, poverty stands in the way. For over 100 years, The Smith Family has been helping young Australians to overcome educational inequality caused by poverty so they can thrive now and into their futures.
Since 2016, Interflow has been a proud supporter of The Smith Family’s core Learning for Life program which delivers a proven combination of financial, personal and practical support. Young Australians in need receive long-term educational support to build their skills and unlock their true potential.
Today, Interflow sponsors dozens of students in need around Australia. Our partnership empowers young people to harness education, pursue further study or employment – and create better futures for themselves.
At Interflow, we know that education is a powerful tool for creating and accessing opportunities, particularly for young people. When people can participate in education, the benefits flow beyond the individual, benefitting communities and economies.
In 2024, we began our partnership with the GO Foundation. GO’s mission is to ‘empower through education’ and create opportunities for Indigenous children and young people. GO do this through their holistic program, which focusses on culture and education, to help young people reach their full potential.
The program offers scholarships to students from primary school through to university. GO students have opportunities to learn more about their own culture and identity with other Indigenous young people, access to professional opportunities, and financial support to help pay for the essentials of education.
GO and Interflow share a common goal, to improve lives. This partnership is our chance to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and their communities and create brighter futures through education.
